American singer song-writer Sza (Solana Imani Rowe) is back at it again and won’t be quitting music anytime soon after giving fans a performance of one of her latest tracks ‘Drew Barrymore’ on Jimmy Kimmel.
‘Drew Barrymore’ will be one of the songs featured on Sza’s anticipated album ‘CTRL’ which is hyped to be released sometime this year, although no formal release date has been revealed.
There has been a lot of talk particularly amongst her record label, Top Dog Entertainment (TDE) particularly in the ‘twittersphere’ with TDE co-president Terrence Henderson revealing that he could release her album anytime soon. There has also been suggestions made that the album could arrive sometime around her birthday, November 8th.
But it may be released earlier than we think, as only last week in the very heart of New York, Sza gave a select few a chance to hear the fruits of her new album.
Featuring American hip hop artist Travis Scott, ‘Love Galore’ was one of the songs played, sounding very tropical and was even hinted at on her Instagram late last year, see below:
Also debuted was ‘Temporary Love’ which is believed to channel Rihanna-like, husky vocals, as Sza channels her vocal style featured in ‘Consideration’ on Rihanna’s ANTi album which was released last year.
In the meantime, Sza’s 2014 debut album is available for purchase on Itunes.
