Adele says ‘Hello’ in style at first Australian concert


Adele opened the Australian leg of her in style at Perth’s Domain stadium last night with 65 000 fans being treated to 18 head bopping songs, a Bob Dylan cover and a brief performance by an Australian Adele impersonator.

With a 360 degree stage all concert-goers didn’t miss a hit after Adele belted our songs from 3 of her studio albums, including ‘Hello’, ‘Rumour Has It’, ‘Rolling in the Deep’, ‘Skyfall’ and ‘Someone Like You’.

Adele even gave fans a treat when she gave a rare performance of ‘Take It All’.

Perth DJ, entertainer and drag queen Feminem (“Just like Eminem but with an F”) caught Adele’s eye and joined her on stage to belt out ‘Rumour Has It’.

Concluding the evening gracefully with ‘Someone Like You’ and then taking the time to thank all of those who came out and have supported her music,

“I hope that you all love music and it narrates your life and soundtracks it and it helps you because that’s what music does for me,” she said.

“I just want to you know I really appreciate you coming out to my concert… I know it’s my first one here – who knows if I’ll tour again – but  I’m in here now and I love it and you look f—ing beautiful.

“I will never, ever, ever forget this, thank you so much.

“I hope it was worth the wait”.

Adele will be trekking to Brisbane this weekend, then Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne.
