Who Am I Listening To: ELIZA

If you haven’t witnessed the sensual yet alluring voice of ELIZA, indulge yourself today.

Eliza Sophia Caird (formerly Eliza Doolittle) has honed her creative stripes since the age of 15, but what defines her from the pack is her creative independence as an artist, unafraid to venture out both musically and visually.

Growing from a family of rich musical tapestry, her father John Caird was a stage director and her mother, Frances Ruffle was a Tony award winning musical theatre actress.

Despite already having released a slew of lead-up singles, early 2010 is where Eliza Doolittle’s music started to break-through.

In April 2010, she released her debut single ‘Skinny Genes’, which reached 22 on the UK Singles Chart.

The following year was a big one for Doolittle, as she dropped her self-titled album and performed at one of the world’s biggest music festivals, Coachella followed by a UK tour.

But you may be more familiar with Eliza’s voice than you think… she featured on the memorable 2013 Disclosure track, ‘You & Me’, from their debut album, ‘Settle’.

In 2018, she released her most recent album, ‘A Real Romantic’ which you can purchase here.
