Singer, songwriter and artist, Mikhala Jene, grew up in the populous Southern city of Jacksonville, NC and was drawn to music from an early age.

Growing-up Jene was influenced by the likes of Aaliyah, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Brandy and Beyonce, all inspiring her beautiful vocal style.

Her time was also spent singing in the local church choir and at the ripe young age of 14, she led her first solo to a fruitful congregational response.
