New On The Block: Sinéad Harnett

With a sound compared to the likes of Adele, it’s time for you to get used to the lush voice of Sinéad Harnett fresh out London.

Born to a Thai mother and Irish father, Harnett grew up in Finchley just north of London and immersed herself amongst an impressive taste spanning from The Fugees, Whitney Houston and Tina Turner.

Billboard has already compared her sound to the likes of Adele stirred in with the experimental flavours similar to those of Jessie Ware and Jhene Aiko productions.

In 2011, she started to gain traction in her music career when grime artist, Wiley reached out to her on Twitter to feature her on the single, ‘Walk Away’ from his album, ‘Chill Out Zone’.

The ensuing year, she featured on Disclosure’s, ‘Boiling’ as featured on their EP, ‘The Face’.

She officially dropped her debut EP in 2014 which included the singles, ‘No Other Way’ and ‘Paradise’.

In case you didn’t know, Snakehips are featured on Harnett’s tune, ‘No Other Way’ and also collaborated with her for their single, ‘Days With You’.

Heading into late 2014, she recorded her debut album with producer, Chris Loco and was shortlisted for MTV UK’s Brand New for 2015 award.

The album’s first single, ‘She Ain’t Me’ dropped in June 2015 and was later followed by ‘Do It Anyway’ in September 2015.

This busy, talented gal is really only just getting started and we seriously can’t wait to see what she has in store over the next few years.

Go get your copy of Harnett’s most recent work, ‘Lessons in Love’ HERE.
