Tate is proud of his hometown, deep musical roots and sense of community he felt growing up that he later translated into his relationship with his fans.

He was even fortunate enough to taken under the wing by some of the music industry’s most forward-thinking minds, like Troy Taylor, known for his production and songwriting for Whitney Houston, The Isley Brothers and Trey Songz.

It’s just plain obvious this dude has talent, considering his first single, ‘Send Her Onto Me’ garnered over 150,000 YouTube views and collectively over 50,000 downloads.

Along with his growing online following, it wasn’t long before the track received airtime on popular radio stations across the U.S. and U.K.

Continuously seeking out new ways to grow his talents, whether it be recording, dancing, acting or touring, CJ Tate is making moves covering all bases of the entertainment business.

He has graced a variety of stages too.

From opening for Wu Tang Clan in L.A., showcasing at the AC3 Hip Hop Festival, taking on an artist showcase for Interscope Records to opening for Future at CIAA’s Basketball Tournament.
