Possibly one of Busta’s most esteemed albums yet, if you haven’t already felt the pow of Busta Rhymes then now is your time.
It’s only been some 22 years later and an almost decade long album hiatus, but Busta is back with an album perfectly tailored to the current year.
It’s apparent Busta Rhymes, Trevor Tahiem Smith Jr, is back to paint a tale of a world at the brink of destruction.
Interwoven throughout the record are those classic old-school jazz samples combined with divine smooth storytelling.
Busta’s three decade long career can be heard within this record, clearly his music-crafting hasn’t wavered one bit and this album is proof that he has a sound which spans across many years.
If that doesn’t excite you enough, the calibre of artists featured on this record will make you pumped up even before you press play. Get amped to hear the likes of Rakim, Pete Rock, Vybz Kartel, Q-Tip, M.O.P, Rick Ross, Mariah Carey, Anderson .Paak, Rapsody, Mariah Carey and Kendrick Lamar.
You’ll also hear Chris Rock make some noteworthy appearances within the depths of the album, particularly on the intro, ‘Czar’, as he amps up Busta as “the baddest mother*****.”
This is an album that will make you feel strong even during times of such uncertainty.
